Call to Order

Aashish Sharma, President, called to order the meeting at 12:05PM in the ISET conference room.

Club Elections:

• Elections took place and all elected positions were filled, the elected officers entered their positions.

Old Business:

• Old President began talking about getting fund raising done as soon as possible.

• Dr. Lefevbre the club adviser was handed his award.

Presidents Report: Aaron Kenney

• Members of the Telecom wireless class met with the mayor of Utica and discussed some project ideas.
• Discussed upcoming field trips and ideas for the club. 

Vice President Report: Herbert Hernandez

• Announced appointed positions open: Webmaster and Telecom Buzz editor.
• Talked about responsibilities of the Website, 120 pages made last year, used RSS feeds for main pages, event pages and gallery’s require the most work, but relatively simple.  Web site has contact info up there that needs to be updated. 
• Telecoms Buzz is more involved, 20 hours or more required per issue.  Main time was spent on design, organization, editing, responsibilities can be divided. 
• Not recognized by campus yet as a club, supposed to be taken care of today, but by next Thursday is the latest.

Treasurer’s Report: Alok  

• No Report 

Webmaster’s Report: Herbert Hernandez

• A few bugs to be taken care of with the e-mail list.
• Discussed, implementing the Telecom Informer, it will be disseminated through the newly created email list.
• Contacted Dognet admins to create a sql account for the forums.

Telecom Buzz Report: Herbert Hernandez

• Looking for staff writers, 20th anniversary of the telecoms dept theme.
• The adviser has offered assistance in getting faculty help for the buzz, getting permission to submit old articles that professors have written. 
• Aaron has said that he may volunteer some wireless documents he created to the buzz. 
• The adviser brought up the idea of coffee shops.  Aaron and Herbert brought up the idea of a “meet the teachers” section.

Open Forum:

• SIAC trip, all e-mails were given to Dr. Newman for contact purposes.
