Call to Order

Aashish Sharma, President, called to order the meeting at 12:02PM in the ISET conference room.

President’s Report: Aashish Sharma

Nortel Trip

• Dr. Newman has finally got a response from Nortel. The trip to Nortel will take place on the 25^th of April.
• A motion was passed that $500 be withdrawn from the club towards the cost of going to Canada. It was voted upon and was unanimously decided that the funds will be withdrawn.
• Students who are eligible to drive needed for the trip.

Vice President’s Report: Aaron Kenney

Syracuse Field Trip

• Tim Smith at Cables Express, Syracuse was contacted regarding a tour of their facilities.
• It was decided that the club will visit Cables Express on the 6^th of May, 2005.
• There will be presentations, then a tour of the facilities and their distribution center.
• Funds may be withdrawn from the club towards this trip.

Adoption of local highway

• The form has been filled out and must be signed by the club advisor before being submitted.

Treasurer’s Report: Eric Sinclair

• The treasurer, Eric Sinclair, handed over the gift certificates to Dr. Lefebvre

Advisor’s Address: Dr. Kevin Lefebvre

• No report

Telecom Buzz report: Herbert Hernandez

• Staff writers needed to submit articles for the buzz.
• Due to the unavailability of articles, the print of the buzz is being postponed
• The ongoing research of current graduate students can be included. Required information to be given by Dr. Lefebvre.

 Webmaster Report: Herbert Hernandez

• Professors have been emailed about the site and their links may be included.
• Links to white papers can be included in the site

Open Forum:

• Adam Pilbeam to include a picture of the members of the Telecom club in the school yearbook
• Aaron Kenney volunteered to drive some of the students to Canada.
• Banners for the club must be printed,
• The club does not have a logo. A logo design contest to be announced with the winner receiving the $30 Applebees gift card that the club possesses.
