Call
to Order
Aashish Sharma, President, called to
order the meeting at 12:05PM in the ISET conference room.

President’s Report: Aashish Sharma
Club Funds
-
It has been
determined that there is $888.85 in the club funds. This is
excluding the proceeds from the recent 50-50 raffle.
Proposal for raffle items
-
Many deals for items
to be raffled off have been decided. Along with technical items,
more generic prizes such as gift certificates are to be included to
attract a wider audience.
-
A raffle booth can
also be set up during the pre-engineering conference to be held on
March 24th, 2005. Members of the pre-engineering
committee to work out the details.
Vice President’s Report: Aaron
Kenney
Order of conduct at meetings:
-
The club constitution
states that Robert Rules of Order must be observed at meetings.
-
A handbook of rules
was passed around. Vice president to study the book and lay out the
details of new procedures in the next meeting.
Treasurer’s Report: Mitchelle
Fernandes
-
Due to overlapping
commitments, Michele Fernandes has stepped down from the post of the
treasurer.
-
Eric Sinclair was
nominated to be the new treasurer of the Telecom Club
-
A vote was taken and
Eric Sinclair was unanimously elected to be the next treasurer of
the telecom club.
Telecom Buzz Report: Herbert
Hernandez
-
So far only 2
articles have been received for the Buzz
-
Sushant Sahani to
include an abstract of his paper in the Buzz.
-
Dr. Kevin Lefebvre to
write an article
-
Uma Jadhav to provide
the details about the upcoming Telecomm Conference
Advisor’s Address:

Instructions
regarding the pre-engineering conference to be sent out to all the
committee members soon.
New Business:
-
Motion was passed to
investigate the creation of a Bulletin Board exclusively for the
Telecom Club. This board will be used by the club to post
information about the club activities etc.

Eric and Aaron, with
the help of Dr. Lefebvre to investigate what has to be done.
Constitution Committee:
-
Motion was passed to
form a committee which will examine the constitution and recommend
any changes if needed.

The recommended
changes will be put forward in front of the Club members and voted
upon.

Raffle:
-
The winning raffle
ticket was picked out by the advisor, Dr. Lefebvre. Mr. Dan Pezcka
won the 50-50 raffle of the Telecom Club.
Open Forum:
-
Key to the Telecom
Club office should be provided to the president of the club. Aashish
Sharma to look into the matter.

The Club can work
with Career Services to contact alumni of SUNYIT and request them to
help conduct field trips, guest lectures etc.
