SUNYIT TELECOM CLUB MINUTES 02/10/06

Call to Order

Aaron Kenney, President, called to order the meeting at 1:45 PM in the ISET conference room.

President’s Report:

·        A few guidance counselors had the opportunity to visit kunshella hall the previous Wednesday. It was a good opportunity to advertise the telecom department

·        Possible plan for the future  is to have a few members of the telecom club together and faculty members of the department to visit the schools specially those within the Cisco academy in the area and give presentation concerning the telecom department at SUNYIT

Vice-President’s Report:

CISSP

• CISSP seminars start on February 14^th in room 1240 (Donovan). The seminar will go on for 10 weeks except for spring break

Treasurers Report

• The treasurer attended The CFB meeting
• The club is getting activated next week
• The balance of the Telecom club fund is $ 674.74

Advisor’s Address: Dr. Kevin Lefebvre

§         Dr. Lefebvre reemphasized on the idea of visiting the local school within the area.

Open Forum:

• Aaron talked about the SUNYIT library wireless project
• Susan Weber invited the members of the club to participate to the winter fest festival. She emphasized that it is a great opportunity to raise the fund of the club. (if 5 people participate the clubs get 50$)
